Criticism and Rejection, Consider This

images[1]

You were criticized, maybe even rejected. They did not want what you had to offer and now you feel less than zero.

It doesn’t help to get mad. Getting revenge, while may make you feel better for a time, is just bad karma. Take the high road and turn the other cheek, you really don’t need any more bad energy.

But you have been hurt and no matter how many times you try and rationalize what happened, you can’t seem to get past the put-down.

Well meaning people may say to you, “Don’t take it personally. It was their issue, it’s not about you.” Hell yes it was about you, or at least it feels that way! The criticizing or rejection was aimed at you. How could that not be personal?

Yes you will eventually get over it. Yes you will move on. But in the mean time here is something to consider that may help in the repair of your self-esteem.

The situation you experienced was just an energy thing. The person or circumstance failed to align with your energy and as a result there was a collision of sorts.

But if you are continually facing rejection or criticism, perhaps you will benefit by changing your own energy either by learning more, perfecting your presentation or doing inner work on yourself by exploring your values and beliefs. All these ideas will help you move your energy in a different direction.

Even if you are passionate about your perspectives and stance on life, you still can benefit from re-aligning your energy. Who wants to collide with other people’s energy and opinions? It’s your choice to either crash into the wall of criticism and rejection or go around it. There is always more than one path to any given goal. After all, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing but expecting a different result.

So the next time you face someone’s harsh assessment that leaves you feeling lower than dirt, remember that the situation is just a misalignment of your energies with theirs.

You are where you are suppose to be at this moment in time and are exactly who you are meant to be. You are not less than anyone else. You are enough and always will be.

It’s not about you, it’s not about them, it’s just a directional flow issue. Try another path.
