Good-bye Friend

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person. When a person comes into your life for reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

Yesterday was a beginning for me with the start of this blog. Today is an ending of sorts, my friend Laurie phoned me bright and early to say good-bye. She is moving to Calgary to care for ailing family members.

As the third aspect of the triple goddess, (maiden, mother, crone) the crone is closest to death, and as such, tends to be the one who help others through this final passage. While it may not seem like it a the time, being there for another soul and being a witness to their passing is a great honour. To be the sentry watching over the physical body as the spirit releases and travels back to source is a true gift of love. That is the roll my friend will now take on.

I have only know Laurie for about 10 months. We met at a psychic potluck. Both of us were doing readings. Laurie is an astrologer starseekerconnection.com and in our short friendship we bonded over many different metaphysical philosophies. We supported each other emotionally and spiritually.

Laurie came into my life for a reason . Good-bye friend.

“We’ll be Friends Forever, won’t we, Pooh?” asked Piglet.

“Even longer” Pooh answered.
